제 목:자녀들아 욕망의 노예가 되지 말라 (민 11:4 – 9절)
(Don’t be slaves of desire, children.)
“환경의 극복없이 성공이 있을 수 없으며, 고난의 극복없이 승리가 만들어질 수 없다”
Success cannot be achieved without overcoming the environment, and victory
cannot be made without overcoming sufferings.
“이 전쟁에서 승자가 되기 위해서는 어떤 고난도 극복해 내지 않으면 안된다.”
To be the winner of this war, we must overcome any difficulties.
33절
“여호와께서 백성에게 대하여 진노하사 심히 큰 재앙으로 치셨다”
“그것은 바로 탐욕이 있었기 때문이요 욕심이 잉태되었기 때문”
Because it was in greed, because greed was conceived.
본문 4절
“그들 중에 섞여 사는 다른 인종들이 탐욕을 품으매…”
Other races living among them are greedy...
눅 12:15절, “삼가 모든 탐심을 물리치라”
Be careful not to give up all your greed.
1. 탐욕은 전염병과 같다. (Greed is like an infectious disease.)
본문 4절, “이스라엘 백성 중에 섞여 사는 다른 인종들이 있었다”
There were other races among the people of Israel who lived in the mix.
본문 5～6절
“우리가 애굽에 있을 때에는 값없이 생선과 오이와 참외와 부추와 파와 마늘들을 먹은 것이 생각나거늘 이제는 우리의 기력이 다하여 이 만나 외에는 보이는 것이 아무 것도 없도다 하니”
“세균은 육체를 전염시키지만 욕심과 탐욕은 인간의 영혼을 전염시킨다”
Germs transmit the body, but greed and greed transmit the human soul.
시 106: 14절
“광야에서 욕심을 크게 내며 사막에서 하나님을 시험하였도다”
“인간에게 가장 뛰어난 재주는 모방이다.”
The greatest skill of man is imitation.
“광야를 통과하지 않고서는 가나안 땅을 얻을 수가 없다.”
You can’t get Canaan land without going through the wilderness.
갈 5:24절
“그리스도 예수의 사람들은 육체와 함께 그 정욕과 탐심을 십자가에 못 박았느니라”
“내일의 가나안을 위하여 오늘의 고난을 극복하며, 원망하지 않는 성도가 되라”
For tomorrow’s Canaan, overcome today’s sufferings and become an unrepentant saint.
2. 욕심은 또 한 번의 눈물을 흘리게 한다.
(Greed makes us shed another tear.)
본문 4절
“그들 중에 섞여 사는 다른 인종들이 탐욕을 품으매 이스라엘 자손도 다시 울며 이르되…”
“욕심은 원망을 낳았고, 원망은 이스라엘의 두 눈에서 또다시 눈물을 흘리게 만들었다”
Greed spawned resentment, resentment brought back tears in Israel’s eyes.
본문 4절, “ ...누가 우리에게 고기를 주어 먹게 하랴”
...Who would give us meat to eat.
민 11:1～3절
“이스라엘이 여호와를 원망하다가 하나님의 진노를 받고 모세에게 부르짖은 적”
“음식에 대한 욕망과 지금의 고난을 그저 비관하기만 했기 때문이다.”
Because They were just pessimistic about their desire for food and
their current sufferings
‘감사하지 못하는 나의 신앙은 어디에서부터 고장 난 것인가?’
Where did my ungrateful faith break down?
“하나님과 나와의 관계를 가로막는 욕심을 버리자”
Let’s get rid of the greed that keeps us from the relationship between God and me.
“욕망은 피해갈 수 있는 것이 아니라 극복해야만 한다.”
Desire is not something that can be avoided, but must be overcome.
3. 욕심은 만족이 없다.(Greed has no satifaction.)
본문 6절, “만나 외에는 보이는 것이 아무 것도 없도다”
I see nothing but Manna.
“세상에 대한 욕심과 염려도 버리자. 불만족과 원망이 아니라 이제부터는 만족과 감사를 드려보자”
Let’s get rid of our greed and concern for the world. Let’s give satisfaction and appreciation from now on, not dissatisfaction and resentment.
“오늘의 삶의 자리에서 만족하지 못하면 또 다시 눈물을 흘릴 수밖에 없다.”
If you are not satisfied in the place of today’s life, you will have no choice but to cry again.
“오늘의 어려움을 내일의 본향을 생각하며 극복하세요”
Overcome today’s difficulties by thinking about tomorrow’s home state.
“욕망의 노예가 아니라 하나님의 자녀로 승리하세요”
Win not as slaves of desire, but as children of God.
