“제 인생에 남아 있는 두 달을 어떻게 살아야 될까요?”
How should I live the remaining two months of my life?
“빚을 다 갚고, 남은 내 재산을 어떻게 쓸 것인가?”
How am I going to spend the rest of my property after paying off all my debts.
“어떤 사람은 숙명론으로 받아들인다.”
Some people take it as fatalism.
자포자기형 – a desperation type.
회피형 – evasive type.
정리형 – Organized.
1. 종말에 대한 인간의 여러 가지 반응
(Man’s various reactions to the end.)
“종말을 두려움으로 여긴다”
Regard the end as a fear.
“우주적인 종말에 대해서도 더더욱 두려움으로 생각함”
We also think of the end of the universe as a fear.
“우리 안에 있는 죄의 본성이 우리를 두렵게 만든다.”
The nature of sin within us scares us.
“어떻게 믿고 이해하느냐에 따라 그날이 심판의 날이 될 수도 있고,
축복의 날이 될 수도 있다”
Depending on how you believe and understand the day,
it can be a day of judgment or a day of blessing.
마 10:34절
“내가 세상에 화평을 주러 온줄로 생각하지 말라 화평이 아니요 검을 주러왔노라”
“종말은 믿고 준비하는 사람에게는 축제의 날, 믿지않고 준비되지 않는 사람에게는 심판의날”
Festival Day for those who believe in the end N prepare, judgment Day for those who do not believe and are not prepared.
2. 종말은 아름다운 날로 기대하고 기다리는 날이다
(It’s a beautiful day that I’ve been waiting for.)
“주님께서 오시는 날을 ‘천국’이라고 하였다. (본문 1절)
The day the Lord comes is called heaven.
“그 때에 천국은 마치 등을 들고 신랑을 맞으러 나간 열 처녀와 같다 하리니”
“주님의 날은 천국의 날, 하나님 나라에 이르는 날”
Lord’s Day is the day of heaven N reaches the kingdom of God.
“특별히 그 날을 잔치에 비유하고 있음에 유의”
Be aware that the day is specifically compared to a feast.
“초대 받은 사람들에게는 감사의 날, 기쁨의 날, 축복의 날”
For those who are invited, it’s a day of thanks, a day of joy, a day of blessings.
“먼저 종말에 대한 의식을 가지고 살아가라”
First, live with a sense of doom.
본문 13절
“그런즉 깨어 있으라 너희는 그 날과 그 때를 알지 못하느니라”
“의식하면서 사는 것과 무의식 가운데 사는 것은 매우 다르다.”
Living in consciousness is very different from living in unconsciousness.
‘오늘 이 하루가 마지막이 될 수 있다. 오늘이 마지막이다’
Today can be the last day. Today is the last day.
“우리는 정신을 바짝 차리고 일하고 살아가는 훈련이 되어야 한다”
We need to be alert and work-and- live training.
“그 방법은 바로 기도하는 것이다.”
The way is to pray.
“내 마음과 태도를 흐트러지지 않도록 다듬고 세상에 나아가는 것”
It’s about trimming my mind and attitude so that it doesn’t blur and moving into the world.
“기도 속에서 정신을 차리고, 그날그날을 준비하고 이기는 삶을 살 수 있다.”
You can come to your sense in prayer, prepare for the day, and live a life of winning.
벧전 4:7～11절
“만물의 마지막이 가까이 왔으니 그러므로 너희는 정신을 차리고 근신하여 기도하라 무엇보다도 뜨겁게 서로 사랑할지니…”
3. 초대를 받았어도 등불이 준비 되지 않으면 안된다
(Even if you’re invited, the lantern must be ready.)
“잔치에 참여하기 위해서는 반드시 등불이 준비되어 있어야 한다.”
To participate in the feast, a lantern must be prepared.
“이 등불은 우리 그리스도인의 삶의 빛이다.”
This beacon is the light of our Christians’ lives.
“정신 차리고 기도하면서 내게 주어진 삶에 최선을 다하는 것”
To stay alert and pray and do my best in the life I’m given.
“우리의 삶이 성령 충만한 삶으로 채워졌는가?”
Are our lives filled with the Holy Spirit?
“우리의 의식이 깨어 있고, 삶이 준비되어 있어야 한다”
You must be conscious and ready for life.
“그들의 등잔에 기름을 채우지 않은 것이 문제”
The problem is that they don’t fill their lamps with oil.
“성령과 함께 기도하면서 진리를 따라 살아갈 때”
When you pray with Holy Spirit and live according to the truth.
“이 순간 정신을 가다듬고 다시 시작해 보세요”
Get your act together at this moment and start over.
